The yanks struggle to stay consistent pays off as Ian kennedy gets the job done

The yankees have just won one (suprising to us all, but it knew it would happen) . The life has come back to the bronx after struggle and lose constantly. The secound game against the orioles Ian Kennedy had the start. Time here for Kennedy is to prove himself and to the yanks that he could be in the rotation. It turns out that Ian went 6 innings allowed 1 run, and 4 hits to keep the yanks in the game. Damon went 3 for 4 leading off that game. Now damon always said that when he gets off great the yanks respond and well that was'nt quite the case this time, but the yanks did well. The great one jeter went 1 for 4 though but he's always a key factor for the yankees. The game was nothing but a pitching duel for Ian Kennedy and also a test. The game was tied all the way to the bottom of the 9th making the yankees have to take care of business in the last inning.
Now an amazingly hilarius thing took place yesterday and it was really hilarius so let me explain will you. Ok Right after Hideki Matsui reached first with one out still remaining Jason Giambi was up. He got called out on strikes because of the claiming of the Orioles catcher. The ball was clearly inside and high but the catcher said that it hit the knob of his bat and into the glove. It would now be 2 outs. Joe Girardi was extremely upset with the call and loudly and angrily voiced his opinion to the umpire having him ejected from the game. He also got fined and suspended for the series opener against seattle. But in the game now, Robi was up with 2 outs and a runner in scoring position. A single could do the job and that's exactly what he did. There was a giant hole between short and third on the left side of the infield. Robi based knocked right to the left side and they always say hit 'em where they 'aint and it drove the hustling Matsui in to win the game. A dramatic win for the yanks as they approach a 2-game winning streak.
